Game I enjoy: Geometry Dash
Geometry Dash is a 2D platformer / rhythm game that’s architecture really comes in it being fun because it is difficult (challenge architecture). I really enjoy the gameplay loop / architecture of this game. There are many skills you can learn (timings, ship control, wave, music sync) that can be combined with one another to make really interesting compound skills. The game also does not get boring due to how these loops are mixed with the arcs (even though Geometry Dash doesn’t really have a strong narrative so it is much more focused on loops than on arcs). The mix occurs mostly in the fact of the community editor with structured levels that offer great flexibility, allowing a player to focus on easier levels and relax more or (what I like to do) focus on harder levels and on beating something in a difficulty range you’ve never completed. I enjoy the architecture of this game a lot and it’s my most played game by a wide margin right now.
