Hey everyone!! My name is Varsha (she/her) and I’m super excited to be part of Design for Play this spring and get to know more of you! I’m dropping a picture of me posing with a chicken sandwich (self-proclaimed “SF’s favorite fried chicken sandwich,” although I doubt it), so if you see me in class I’d love to say hi and chat :))
My favorite game of all time would probably be Clue, but I’m also a huge fan of trivia-based games and have spent wayyy too much time playing Trivia Crack over breaks. One recent game (actually a game show) that I’ve enjoyed is The Floor, a game show where 100 contestants stand their ground on a massive, interactive LED game floor of squares, each representing a different trivia category and have a series of different duels, expanding their territory as they win until one person remains. What I love about The Floor is the combination of expertise on the subject, swiftness in responses, and strategy – you all should watch!!
