Super cool game!
This values explores social dynamics within fraternities. It explores complacency, challenging the status quo, and bringing awareness to difficult topics like sexual assault
I think the game did a great job of putting me in the shoes of someone in a frat.
The time-based game in the beginning was a clever use of the medium. I also liked the styling of different text elements, it made it feel like a traditional video game.
I think the choices and information given alongside them made it easier to really understand why things tend to play out like this in real life fraternities.
I really liked the vocabulary used and the overall writing style. It fit the theme of the story. I also really liked how the game communicated how frustrating it is to make change in greek life.
I would make a stronger connection between the first time-based game part and the rest of the game.
Loved this game!!
I thought the choices were suuuper interesting. I really wasn’t sure if I should put my head down and just try to win the election, or if I should stand up for what I thought was right even if it hurts my chances of winning! I think this is a problem that cuts deep—do we sacrifice our values to end up in a greater position of power, where we can potentially do more good? Or will we then find ourselves in a position of power, forced to uphold the status quo nonetheless? I really liked this component of the game.
My only recommendation would be further exploring the ethics of changing the system from the outside vs. the inside. Most of my friends in sororities disaffiliated pretty quickly instead of sticking around to make change from the inside, and none of them regretted that decision. I would be interested to be able to explore that idea—whether we can leave the frat *and* do harm reduction while we’re at it—more within the game.
