Crypto treasure
Premise
- Stanford CS prof who is also a crypto billionaire passed away, sends out a school announcement that whoever can find his cold wallet and the passcode get to have his fortune.
Timeline and puzzles
- In the beginning, every student received this announcement, so they need to find two things, the cold wallet which is a device and a passcode key, they have the email and a website link. On the website, there is a story, the story talks about the prof’s first bucket of gold as a front end web developer.
- The students needs to INSPECT the website to see what is hidden behind, they would see some CSS style sheet that has weird namings. Following the namings, they then arrive at a physical location on campus
- At the physical location on campus, the students have to scan a QR code to access a new website, that is protected by a passcode, they have to go back to the INSPECT to see what the passcode is
- Once they have logged into the website, they see a map, and a timer, the timer starts to tick ever since the first person logs in to it. on the map, they see the hidden location of the digital ledger
- Also on the website, there is a hind for getting to know what the digital passcode to the ledger is.
- Collaborative assignment, 4 people needs to be at 4 locations at the same time and then do something together(scan the code, put in the key, etc) so that the puzzle could be solved.
