One game I enjoy playing is Pacman, which closely follows the loop architecture presented in the reading. The game mainly consists of a tight loop where the player reads the ghost positions, decides a path, moves, and receives immediate spatial feedback. The player cycles through this loop over and over again as they explore the map. These basics then compound into more involved skills like strategic power pellet usage and managing threats across the entire maze, forming a skill chain. There is barely any arc content in Pacman, as the only ones are the brief intermission cutscenes between levels that give the player a short break before resuming. However, its usage of loops and skill building is so effective that players continue to come back to the game despite its simple nature.
