I spent most of my time this week really exploring how to use all of Twine’s features to my advantage. This did mean that I didn’t get the ending of my story fleshed out… At the same time, I’m really happy with how I have more pacing with the delay of text and variables that keep track of past decisions to influence the story later on! Twine really is pretty deep!
I think I have two main questions:
1: I’m scared that I might be using the delay feature too much… I personally enjoy the cadence it enforces, but does it bother you?
2: I enjoy having this first part being more exposition compared to hard choices. Is it okay if I take some time with ‘world building’ before I get to these dilemmas? (Later on I’m thinking of upping the stakes with decisions such as choosing to help kids or not, sacrificing your dog, admitting your blame in this).
