My question is – how rushed is too rushed? In my game I wanted players to have a sense of being rushed and uncomfortableness which simulates what it’d feel like trying to speak your not-so-fluent language. So I intentionally designed time constraints into the game – but what’s a fine balance between having players have enough time to read through what’s going on in the scenario and feeling the rush and struggle in a limited time to respond? I might need to collect more data to gauge on people’s average reading speed.
