I. Type of Fun – Challenge
Part of our idea for the game is incorporating puzzles into the game to reveal the plot. Part of the challenge is figuring out what/where the puzzle is. Our game isn’t just going to say specifically what the puzzle is everytime, that’ll only happen in the tutorial. After that, the players have to find the puzzles, then figure out how to solve them. This will be really cool when the player is looking at the different rooms of the people who have died, and have to figure out what they were like and what happened.
II. Narrative Approach – Embedded
The puzzles are just one way that the player can learn more about the plot. The different rooms themselves hold a lot of the personality of the people that used to live in it. Which can really help the players understand what kind of person they were, which can help them progress the plot.
III. Type of Fun – Discovery
Learning about the different npcs and the plot is a type of fun called discovery. Our game focuses on figuring out the puzzles on who the people were, which will help you learn a lot (how to complete different types of puzzles, what’s happening, what those people were like).
