Point-and-click

We are hoping to design an adventure/puzzle game that combines analog and digital components. It could be interesting to design a digital portion of the game that has a scene or room that the player can explore. The objects would be clickable, allowing the player to explore the area and gather clues that would help them with the next puzzle they encounter. This scene could be something like an office with a messy desk where the player has to sort through lots of items to find something meaningful.

Analog Puzzle

It could be fun to incorporate a physical component into our game through puzzles. After reaching a certain stage in the game, the player could be given access to certain analog puzzles they need to complete in order to move on. These puzzles could fit the archeological/mysterious theme we hope to craft for the game by deciphering a map or translating an unknown script.

Board Game Layout

Our game concept involves exploring multiple different scenes, which we hope will translate to levels, in order to accomplish a final goal of lifting a curse. A map-style board game layout could add an immersive spatial experience to the analog portion of our game, allowing the players to have an idea of what is open for them to explore. A physical map could also help guide players in what to search for and how to progress through the levels.
