Game Directions

Direction 1:

A narrative driven game where you explore several planets and investigate what happened in response to some system wide crisis. The general gameplay loop would be segmented by each planet. On each planet, the player explores various locations and collects artifacts that they bring back to their ship to analyze in order to piece together what happened. Additionally, the artifacts could provide clues to guide the player and potentially tie into a knowledge based progression system where obtaining new knowledge allows the player to solve more puzzles.

Direction 2:

You are an astronaut exploring an alien solar system with several inhabited planets where no shared language exists. Your goal is to understand and befriend each civilization by decoding how they communicate. Through observation, interaction, and experimentation, you learn to interpret symbols, sounds and gestures, gradually building a working understanding of each species’ language and culture. This knowledge is your primary means of progression. Misinterpretations could lead to tension with a planet or missed opportunities.

Direction 3:

An RPG heavily inspired by Final Fantasy. The art would use 2D sprites and a top-down tile-based perspective. The game would feature turn-based combat with a diverse roster of party members across multiple distinct classes. Alongside combat and exploration, the game would still place a strong focus on narrative. There could be character-driven plot lines in addition to a  larger overarching plot that unfolds as the player progresses through the world.
