Our team decided on these norms:
- Prioritize consensus (we want everyone’s voice to be heard & valued!)
- Listen to people’s reservations: listening to others’ intuitions will make our ideas better.
- Build on each other’s ideas.
- Communicate our needs / availability honestly! We will make it work.
- Do work diligently! If there is work assigned before a meeting then do it! If you cant, communicate actively with the team so we can plan accordingly!
- Meetings should be focused and have an agenda.
- Leave meetings with clear next steps.
- Respect different working styles and how everyone works. Make inclusive spaces for everyone!
- Balance ambition with realism! We want to achieve a feasible yet challenging enough project in five weeks!
- Address conflicts early and directly. Disagreement is okay, but we should resolve it constructively.
- Define roles and ownership clearly so everyone knows what they are responsible for.
We will communicate with each other through WhatsApp and Slack and use Google Docs for task management. We also plan to meet weekly outside of class time to discuss group progress.
