Game Concept: A world experience of our world with the emphasis of senses and being in the present.
1. How will the transition from the ocean to the stars feel to the player?
Why it is important: We need to ensure the shift from blue oceans to the moon and stars is a smooth to allow for the player’s sensories to gather the moment without being too abrupt/overwhelming. Type of prototype: A Look and Feel prototype, where you visually see animations/simulations of our world, and where color/movement are the predominent features of the world. Prediction: Players will feel a sense of stunning awe! If the experience is slow, yet immersive enough, then we can add to the goal of showing the beauty of the present.
2. What role does collecting flowers play in the user’s experience? (I love flowers 😀 )
Why it is important: Such experiences may seem common, but in reality, when we take time to analyze the smallest things, we can find everlasting joy. I am hopeful it brings a relaxing experience. Type of prototype: A Role prototype, where the player and flower play each their own role in the moment. Prediction: Users will feel more invested if collecting flowers is allowable. Maybe you want to collect one for yourself. Maybe you want to make many to then throw them in the air.
3. Does the integrated experience feel real enough and easy to navigate? Why it is important: Since the user’s experience combines all dimensions of life, I want the experience to not be overwhelming or distracting. Type of prototype: An Integration prototype, where we integrate experience, roles, senses, into such game. Prediction:Â With controls being simple, players can for example look at the moon and stars and feel as if they are there, without worrying too much of other things like rules/bombardment of visuals.
