Directions for Gameplay:
Multi-World & Player Gameplay
There are two players in two different world realities, or even just two different places, and they need to collectively gain information (perhaps with the same goal or with two separate goals) in order to accomplish each of their tasks. They have to solve this mystery through working together to figure out clues and investigate tasks, navigating a murder mystery that is more complex than just finding information.
Strategic Investigation
Make the lawyer’s court case start at the very beginning of the game, with an opening statement. After that, the player can only take a certain amount of actions per day and spend a certain amount of time before the evening when he must present something to the court, with the case lasting 7 days. In this version of the game, the murder mystery becomes more than just solving a murder but about strategically choosing what to focus on and making tradeoffs in order to prove the case. It turns a standard information-based murder mystery into a mix of strategy and solving.
Ghost Interaction
Bring a darker, more surreal vibe to the game by allowing the player to interact with ghosts, perhaps having one question a day to ask the ghost. This adds a new dimension to the game, choosing that question and using the ghost to help power new ideas and provide information that is hard to deduce. However, the lawyer must always prove his case, so just because the ghost said something doesn’t mean it’s enough to bring it to the courtroom – he must always investigate.
