hi everyone! i’m candy (they/she).
i’m a senior studying urban studies and coterming in cs (hci). my favorite game of all time is rummikub because 1) i love how the tiles feel physically 2) it’s one of the first games that i learned how to play as a child so i have lots of great memories of it 3) there’s so much creativity and freedom involved in trying to score.
a game that i have been enjoying recently is hong kong style mahjong for similar reasons as rummikub. the tiles are very aesthetically pleasing! in addition, learning the plethora of rules has simultaneously challenged my brain and allowed me to reconnect with my culture. i think i may have an affinity for games that require some brain power…
