Hi guys, my name is Em and I use they/them pronouns. My favorite game of all time is probably Legend of Zelda BOTW; I grew up playing Zelda games and think BOTW is an absolute masterpiece. I’ve finished the game three times and watched both my sister and partner play it start to finish. Do I know any of the BOTW glitches? No. Do I have niche knowledge like where the best and most efficient arrow farming spot is? Yes. My favorite things to do in the game are dilly dallying and hoarding items that I’ll inevitably never use during emergencies because what if there’s an even bigger emergency later??
A recent game I’ve enjoyed is Fields of Mistria, which is like Stardew x Animal Crossing but with better quality of life features (you can swim so no need to walk to bridges! there’s a bell to send your animals in and out so you don’t have to individually open barn doors! a diary which you can use to save during the day! the list goes on!) and IMO better character dialogue/story. I also enjoy the NPC art and aesthetics more, the fighting is more fun and involves (some) actual strategy instead of just button mashing, and it just feels like it has better design than Stardew in many of these small ways. If you like Stardew you should definitely check out FoM 🙂
