Premise: Interactive poem comics. The player explores a 3d space (an artist’s studio) where they will interact with artworks and embark on poem/comic adventures, that drop lore on a fictional painter. Hopefully an extension / narrative adaptation of this project of mine:

My tasks will be: importing assets to Unity, integrating a narrative framework (I have used Yarn Spinner in the past), and adding more intrigue and story through creation of artwork and interactions. Interactive comics are a stretch goal for me, I think I will definitely be able to tell a story through just dialogue if it comes down to it.
Map: Interacting with a physical space leads into linear/branching comics or artwork sequences. I would like to wing it and see what narratives and interactions emerge. Two locations I would like to include are the artist’s studio, (in the video above) and a picnic, where flashbacks/ dialogue happen. This setting is already imported to Unity.

Project plan:
Week 1: Lay the foundations for compelling visuals, while writing dialogue on the side. (import assets, create space.)
Week 2: Finish implementing narrative system using 3rd party tool, start work on extra artworks/comics/dialogue.
Week 3: Continue to develop narrative and artworks, see where it takes me.
