Sudoku is a game that relies on two simple mechanics to fulfill the submission aesthetic. When I play Sudoku, I can either place a number directly inside a square, or I can place tiny annotations within the square that allow me to keep track of potential numbers. I continue to place numbers or annotations until the board is complete. These two simple mechanics allow me to gradually identify the correct number for each square in the sudoku grid, fostering a sense of gradual accomplishment with each step. Sudoku’s mechanics, coupled with its consistent rule set across different difficulty levels, provide me with a puzzle-solving experience that is relaxing rather than mentally demanding. The game allows me to unwind and achieve a state of relaxed focus after a busy day.
