- The women are individualistic. Though they would love to live in a world where they can work together, the harsh reality of their fishing village has taught them that every man is for himself. This means that their goal is not just to secretly kill their husbands but also to win the affection of other fishermen so as to make it into their wills. The narrative and gameplay then becomes a little more cut throat and competitive.
- The women team up against the fishermen who also team up. Thus, the game is split into two teams rather than an individualistic pursuit. This would introduce more social gameplay as players can collaborate with others on their team in order to reach the same end goal.
- While the goal is still to amass as much wealth as possible, there is a secondary goal – to maintain your reputation. This means that players cannot overtly kill or have affairs, otherwise their reputation tokens start to dwindle. Each player must balance the potential wealth of a kill or affair against the reputation cost.
