A game that evoked strong emotions within me is Road 96.
The lore of the story was really what made me feel this way. In this game, you are a child trying to leave your home country of Petria because they are getting put in labor camps. The person who has ran for president for a while felt threatened by the new generation being able to vote, so if they try to, they will get put in a camp. The friends (and foes) you meet along the way can help or hinder your journey. I found myself getting sucked in because of this sad storyline, feeling bad for Alex, another kid in the game that is trying to locate the people who killed his father. Even if there are some characters that you don’t like in the story (cough, cough, Zoe) it is beautiful and I highly recommend it.
