A. Interactive Gameplay

The player could explore places inside our game space by clicking, similar to mystery escape room games. I’m thinking of having multiple areas in a village, such as a hospital or a town hall – and players could choose which area to visit by clicking on the UI on the map. Each area could be divided into sub-areas – for example, in a town hall there could be the mayor’s room and the courtroom and etc. Players should be able to navigate and investigate these spaces by clicking.

B. Diverging Outcomes

There are a number of missions the player must complete in a limited time span. Depending on the completion status of each mission, the ending changes. For example, similar to the diverging outcomes of horror games in the dark pictuers Anthology like Man of Medan or Little Hope, the survival status of each character could depend on the missions completed.

C. Embedded Narratives

We could plant various items with descriptions that suggest or imply a horrific backstory. For example, while exploring a town hall, the player could find records of inhumane experiments or horrific events that happened in the village a long time ago.
