The game I’m choosing for this post is Mobile legends. It has provided me with so much fun through different challenges every match with fantasy elements. Some of Mobile Legend’s core mechanics include selecting a hero for each match, using skills to destroy the enemy’s home turrets, gaining gold and experience to level up within the match, and fighting together with 4 other teammates for team objectives like stealing the Turtle or the Lord. There are hundreds of heroes, and each hero has their own distinct set of abilities and visual aesthetics, so we have to learn how to use their abilities well while also understanding each team’s dynamic for the larger strategy of each match. These mechanics come together to create a fast-paced series of dynamics of teamwork and adaptation—deciding whether to hold down a lane I am in or to go assist another lane. This need for constant adaptation makes me feel more alive as I cannot zone out. It also creates challenges because winning or losing depends on quick decision-making, mechanical fingers speed, and map awareness—it also creates a sense of temporary camaraderie for me with strangers, a fellowship.
