MDA & 8 Kinds of Fun – Nintendo Wii Fit

Source: Wikipedia

I love Nintendo Wii Fit. I used to play with my family after dinner when I was young. It brings me a nostalgic feeling and I still remember the fellowship we shared during the game. The basic goal of this game is to maintain a healthy and fit body. Therefore, all modules are designed to work out certain parts of your body. The game needs specific equipment to play such as controllers and balance board. Balance board first measures player’s weight and guides them on weight gain/loss journey. The core function of it reflects body movements while the player exercises or does balance game. Players need to be focused and required to balance themselves to achieve a higher score at the end. This feature makes Wii Fit a solo game but competitive at the same time. It also counts how long you work out for the day and push you to do more. My family would definitely compete to get the better balance scores after yoga or choose longer trails for jogging to gain more workout time. The system constantly gives you feedback and visual guide during the game to encourage players to adjust their position. Furthermore, all characters don’t look the same and you get the chance to design it yourself from the Mii channel. This expresses some aspect of yourself and gives aesthetics of expression.
