Hi everyone! I’m Ryan (he/him) and I’m a sophomore from the Chicago suburbs studying CS and English. My favorite game of all time is probably League of Legends (specifically the ARAM: Mayhem game mode) because, casually, it’s one of those autopilot games that are unbelievably replayable and amazing to catch up with friends over. I’ve made some of my fondest memories and my greatest friends through playing League, and it taught me that video games can be as social as they are addicting. A recent game I’ve enjoyed is Guild Wars 2. I have always held a deep appreciation for massive open-world games, and GW2 is my first foray into such an experience. I’ve fallen in love with the lore and legends of Tyria and its expansions and have only stopped playing because I can’t run GW2 on my Mac. I also think it’s really fun to be part of a community that nerds out over dragons and Skyscales and such, especially after growing up playing Skyrim with my older brother. (Some honorable mentions for my favorite game of all time include Lego Star Wars, Elsword, and Wizard 101, which all share a mystique of personal childhood nostalgia.)
