Directions:

  1. A more mechanics based approach — we could introduce seven levels of platforms / puzzles, with each level correlated to a pastel color of the rainbow and a location related to the characters’ memories. Each level contains a different mechanic that the player has to learn (ex. ice puzzles).
  2. A more narrative focused RPG where you talk to NPCs, make decisions, tackle on purposeful quests, and interact with the world around you at your own pace.
  3. A mix of both points above. Perhaps it can be quest-based where an NPC wants you to retrieve an item, but it is gated behind a puzzle. Maybe give player the freedom to tackle on the quests in whatever order or make some quests / puzzles optional, which may affect the ending.
