Directions for the Game (3 Types of Fun)

Challenge

Solving a mystery can be challenging fun because it requires players to think critically, connect clues, and deduce the solution, often under the pressure of competing narratives.

Narrative

It can also be discovery fun as players uncover hidden details and reveal secrets of the story or setting, experiencing the thrill of each new revelation. As the player explores the environment and interacts with it, they unveil hidden memories and learn about their surroundings, with each interaction deepening their understanding of the world they inhabit.

Discovery

As the player explores the environment and interacts with the environment in the first person (assuming the role of the character), they experience discovery fun by unveiling hidden memories and learning about their surroundings. Through interacting with the other characters and the setting, hopfully the player will slowly reveal layers of the story, deepening their understanding of the world they inhabit.
