Types of Games

1. A 2D, 8-bit puzzle adventure game where the Stanford student must navigate the campus, solving puzzles at each location to progress. At Coupa, the student might need to find the right combination of coffee beans to brew the perfect cup. At Sigma Nu, they could participate in a series of mini-games to gain entry to a secret party. In Green Library, the student might need to decipher clues to locate a rare book. The fun comes from the challenging puzzles and the sense of accomplishment upon solving them. The narrative revolves around the student’s journey to uncover a mystery or achieve a specific goal by visiting these iconic Stanford locations.
2. A 2D, 8-bit time management simulator where the player controls the Stanford student’s daily schedule. The student must juggle attending classes, studying at Green Library, socializing at Coupa, and participating in events at Sigma Nu. The player must make decisions on how to allocate time effectively while maintaining the student’s grades, relationships, and well-being. The fun stems from the chaotic nature of balancing multiple responsibilities and the satisfaction of successfully managing the student’s life. The narrative can involve the student’s personal growth and the challenges they face throughout their Stanford experience.
3. A 2D, 8-bit endless runner game where the Stanford student runs through the campus, dodging obstacles and collecting power-ups. The game could feature Coupa, Sigma Nu, and Green Library as different themed sections of the runner, each with its own unique challenges. For example, in the Coupa section, the student might need to avoid spilled coffee and jumping over tables. The fun comes from the fast-paced, reflex-based gameplay and the thrill of seeing how far the player can run. The narrative can be simple, focusing on the student’s rush to make it to class on time while navigating the lively Stanford campus.
