Sketchnote: Loops & Arcs

Sketchnote:

Example: I really enjoy the game Animal Crossing. It relies mainly on loops of daily tasks. Players repeat activities such as fishing, catching bugs, gathering resources, decorating their homes, and talking to villagers. Each loop provides rewards like Bells, new items, and players may become better at performing the skills. At the same time, these repeated loops contribute to several parallel longer-term arcs. For example, players can complete the museum collection, expand their house, and build friendships with visiting villagers so that they stay. Such milestones are experienced very rarely but provide progression of the game. Overall, the game emphasizes enjoyable short loops and uses them to support long-term arcs.
