Sketchnote: Loops & Arcs

One game I enjoy is Minecraft. The game architecture of Minecraft contains both loops and arcs. An example of a loop is mining/gathering resources. Players get wood to make a crafting table, craft tools to mine, mine stone to make a furnace, gather coal, smelt ore, and eventually craft better tools to repeat the cycle. An example of an arc is the overall story of the game: gathering resources, going to the Nether, finding the Stronghold, going to the End, and killing the Ender Dragon. The fundamental mining loop is an element of the overarching story arc.
