Hey guys, my name is Elisabeth (she/her) and I’m excited to learn about play alongside all of you!
My favorite game of all time is Castle Crashers because it was something my brother and I played on the PS3 growing up. If you don’t know it, it’s a 2D side-scrolling co-op RPG where you battle your way through levels as a cartoon knight. It brings back strong feelings of nostalgia every time I play it, and I remember my older gamer brother carrying us through levels and reviving me when I’d die every few minutes. It has elements of fantasy and creativity because you can choose your pet, sword, and magic type. Plus, you can just spam buttons to attack, which is fantastic for someone who isn’t the most coordinated with game controls.
I’ve also recently enjoyed It Takes Two, which I started playing with my partner over winter break when we were apart. It seems like I tend to like friendslop… I love that you have to work together and you get a shared sense of camaraderie when completing tough challenges. Plus, the controls are simple and intuitive, and you can play the game at your own pace.
If you have any co-op recommendations, I’d love to hear them 🙂
