GAME: 8Ball Pool
Out of all the games I could’ve picked that I love to play, I chose 8ball. 8ball has been the game that I’ve used as my go-to. When I’m bored or have nothing to do, its easy for me to just send my friend an 8ball request and keep myself occupied. With that being said, one of the gameplay mechanics of 8ball that makes it super enjoyable for me is the turn-based dynamic of the game. I love how instead of the timing of the game being reliant on me, there is an anticipation that comes with waiting to see what the opponent’s next move is. Another gameplay mechanic that I find pretty fun is the first move being the white ball hitting all the other colored balls. I like the element of uncertainty that comes with that since you don’t know if the move will benefit the player or not. I also really like the fouling system that’s implemented into 8ball. With every move, there’s a possibility that a player could hit the white ball into the pocket or hitting the opponent’s ball first. I find this very fun because these fouls and unexpected consequences make the game very interesting and keep me engaged in the game. Overall, I love the mechanics that are implemented into 8Ball.
