A game that I really enjoy is What Remains of Edith Finch. It follows the architecture of mixing loops and arcs. The overall narrative of the game is an arc of Edith Finch discovering more about her family while navigating through the house. The loops people run in are to complete certain tasks within each character’s memory (move the character around, take pictures, cut fish, etc.). It has parallel arcs, with well-designed music usage that builds up atmosphere parallel to the key gameplay (typical in the swing and kite scene). It also has levels as the player gradually unlocks more people on the family tree and moves towards higher and higher rooms in the house.
