P2 Checkpoint 1 Team 10 Individual – Sofia

Emotions: exciting, wonder, whimsical (I know whimsical isn’t really an emotion but I feel like this word captures a certain playful, lighthearted, and fantastical overall mood that I’d like to evoke with our game)

Direction 1: You wake up to a (friendly) minotaur licking you awake. You are lost in a labyrinth and want to find your way out. As you journey through the labyrinth, you discover hidden magical powers, encounter diverse cast of quirky characters, each with their own stories and personalities, and solve puzzles to navigate the maze. Your interactions with these characters shape the outcome of your journey, with choices leading to different endings and consequences. The game emphasizes the importance of empathy, friendship, and understanding as you navigate through the labyrinth’s challenges.

Direction 2: Perspective of some Greek god/goddess or figure in the labyrinth. For example: Circe, a lesser goddess, had the ability to use drugs and incantations to change humans into wolves, lions, and swine. Story would be one where Circe discovers her own strengths and identity, embraces her powers as a witch, resilience, ignoring social expectations, and grappling with morality.

Direction 3: You wake up in a labyrinth with no memories, only to discover unique magical abilities within yourself. As you explore, you encounter various characters and uncover fragmented memories. The twist? You have to decide which memories are truly yours, shaping your character’s identity and destiny. The game mechanics allow you to “choose which memories are yours,” shaping not only your character’s backstory but also their personality and abilities. Your decisions influence not only the narrative but also the world itself, as the labyrinth reacts to your choices, shifting and changing in response to your actions. But as you journey deeper into the labyrinth, you begin to question the nature of reality itself. Are these memories truly yours, or are they mere illusions created by the labyrinth’s magic? And if you reject your past, what does that mean for your future?
