Game Mechanics

  1. The game should be multiplayer, so that the premise of the game revolves around the race to be prom queen. This allows for fun social dynamics like sabotage and jealousy to arise, which can be reinforced by the accumulation and deduction of points throughout the game. 
  2. The game can include some fatal penalty cards – expulsion, social isolation, etc… This can increase the stakes of the game so that players feel more at risk the longer they stay in the race to win the title of prom queen.
  3. The implementation of mini puzzles that feel relevant to the game. Maybe players go on a mini-quest to find the perfect dress, or engage in a guess who style game about other players. This can keep the game fresh and exciting, especially because it might feel a little static as a classic board game.
