P2 Checkpoint 1: Moodboard and Direction

Possible Directions:

  • We could explore making a timed maze with locked doors and booby traps made by electronic components. Perhaps the players are racing to the center to gain some sort of reward or as entertainment for a secret evil ruling class. (Aesthetics: Challenge, Fellowship, Narrative) — Enacted story lines where the narrative is created by the players exploration of the maze.
  • We could make a miniature escape room with shrinking walls moved by electronic components. Perhaps the player has accidentally teleported to an alternate reality/future dystopian world on the brink of collapse and has to find their way back.
  • We could explore building a life-size bunker that is set in a dystopian future. The protagonist has lost a loved one and goes around the room looking for clues to figure out how to find them (Aesthetics: narrative) –> potentially an embedded story line.

  • Loss (from loss of a loved one & solitude)

  • Fear (from threat/ danger)
  • Tension
