Checkpoint 1: Concept Doc

Emotions:

  1. Cuteness (well, perceiving something cute? attraction/affection? not sure the specific term for this)
  2. Sentimental (at the end of the game, when you’ve returned to your family)
  3. Challenged (when completing the puzzles/challenges)

Directions:

1. Make the end goal to recollect all of your memories, and have the challenge be to solve all the puzzles/challenge rooms that block the memories (analogously, you could think of this as challenge rooms locking keys that you need to collect to win)

2. Since there are 7 colors in the rainbow, maybe there could be 7 challenge rooms/levels, where you have to collect all the colors to complete the rainbow and return home.

Infamous, a game that also makes use of a “two opposing paths” mechanic. Not very similar to our game in terms of tone, however.

3. As the game is set on a rainbow bridge, where one end is Earth and the other is Heaven, we’re also considering some mechanic where you can choose from multiple paths, one of which brings you to Heaven (a bad ending?) and one of which results in you being reunited with your family.
