Direction 1:

Premise: You open your eyes and find yourself in a forest. “Where is it?” “Why am I here?” … Lastly, “Who am I?” Different questions pop up in your mind, but your brain is exploding because you cannot come up with answer to any of the questions. However, there seems something happening in this forest. You can communicate with animals freely (weird but not very noticeable), and you decide to start this journey.

Objective:

– Subgoals: Solve each problems when encountering each different animals.

– Collect all of the memories and figure out why you are here.

(True background: The player is a spirit who has already died in XXX. That’s why the player can do inter-species communication. A detail is that the player’s appearance is never reflected by the river. Each piece of memory is recalled when the player solves a puzzle(?) for each animal, and can also gain some power, eg. jump from rabbit. In the end, the player recalls everything, and there comes the summit of the story/game, where the player needs to make an important decision, which affects the ending.)

Fun: narrative, discovery, sensation

Narrative: embedded, enacting, emergent

Direction 2:

Premise: You are Alice in Wonderland, wandering in the forest again, meeting different animals and communicating with them. Although the forest seems to be peaceful, there seems to be some dark secrets among several evil species. You then start the journey to save the forest!

Objective: Help the animals to restore the peace in the forest.

Fun: challenge, fantasy, narrative

Narrative: evocative, emergent, enacting, embedded

Direction 3:

Premise: You are the leader of the animal troops in the forest. You want to lead the animals to fight against the evil human intruding. However, it seems that there are many troubles intra and inter species, so that the animals cannot even unite together to fight.

Objective: First help each species solve their troubles, then unite everyone together to fight against human beings.

Fun: challenge, fantasy

Narrative: emergent
