P2 Group 10 – Checkpoint 0: Team Norms

Group members: Destiny Tran Saucedo-Martinez, Luciano Gomez, Claire Birge, Andrew Lesh

Communication:

  • Use clear communication when conveying expectations, feedback, etc. and do not expect for people to infer meaning from unclear statements.
  • We are all open to negative feedback so long as it’s kind and open-minded.
  • When you are unsure about something another team member proposes, keep an open mind and ask questions instead of shutting down ideas.
  • Explain terminology or background knowledge that might not be known to everyone.
  • If possible, let everyone know ahead of time if you need to miss class or a meeting.  If there’s an emergency, please let us know when you can.
  • Keep the team updated frequently with progress made so we have an idea of where we are at.

Collaboration:

  • Prefer egalitarian style of teamwork where everyone has equal footing. There is no ‘group leader’ who manages the project, we are all equally responsible for it.
  • Each person is in charge of overseeing the entire project collectively, but has control over their own element (i.e. individual scenes).

Time-Management:

  • Be clear from the beginning about your anticipated time-committment to the project.
  • If anything changes regarding what you have capacity to do, please notify the team as soon as possible so that task delegation can be rearranged early on.
  • Please respect the time of team members and attend arranged meetings on time for the full duration if you’ve indicated you can!
