My all time online game could be Club Penguin because the worldbuilding felt so surreal but human at the same time. I remember the exact moment where me and my sister beated the Sensei in a karate match, which made us become ninjas, and it was probably the happiest moment of my life (even happier than when I got into stanford).
I also really liked Shark games and Mall World in Facebook growing up.
A recent game I enjoyed was when my sister’s friend and I played a Turkish party game called “Vampir Köylü” (Vampire & Villager). It’s similar to Mafia or Werewolf, where players are secretly assigned roles, some as villagers and others as vampires. Each night, the vampires choose someone to eliminate, while during the day, the villagers try to figure out who the vampires are and vote them out. It’s all about bluffing, strategy, and reading people, and we had a lot of fun trying to outsmart each other.
