The game I enjoyed playing growing up is The Sims. It allowed me to craft my own narratives rather than follow a preset story. In The Sims, the game architecture is built around a series of “loops” that shape each sim’s life. Initially, you set up a home for your sim on a designated plot, and from there, how you earn simoleons— the in-game currency—is entirely up to you. You can develop your sim’s skills in various areas like programming, piano playing, or writing, which are essential for career advancement and salary increases. These skill loops contribute directly to your sim’s career progression, as higher skill levels open up better jobs or promotions.
