Sketchnote: Game Architecture

One game I enjoy is Teamfight Tactics (TFT), developed by Riot Games. This is TFT’s architecture:

Core Gameplay Loops: In TFT, the primary loop entails purchasing champions with gold, arranging them on the board, and watching automated fights to modify tactics for the next round. In order to improve their team, players manage resources like gold and items.
Progression Arcs: During a match, players focus on upgrading champions by combining identical units together and organizing teams according to synergies to maximize performance. The goal is to outlast opponents and finish as the last player standing.
Meta Game Architecture: To keep the strategic depth of the game fresh, TFT offers seasonal updates that bring new champions, traits, and strategic elements. Players are encouraged to keep getting better and move up the ladder by the competitive element that a ranked system brings.
