Our team is reaching a consensus on a co-op based escape-room type of narrative that takes place within your computer’s terminal. This game taps into fantasy elements of hacking, without actually needing to know how to code. More specifically, I’m envisioning emotions of excitement, satisfaction or frustration while playing this game. For inspiration, games like Watch Dogs and Uplink fit this criteria well and are depicted in the mood board above.

Concept 1: Cyberpunk Revolution

This game is set in a dystopian future where big corporations control every aspect of society. The player takes on the role of an underground hacker fighting for freedom. The game’s narrative involves bypassing corporate networks, security systems, and uncovering dark secrets hidden in this dystopian world in an effort for liberation. There would be excitement when executing cyber attacks, satisfaction when successfully completing missions, and frustration during unexpected challenges.
Concept 2: CyberHeist

Inspired by traditional heist movies, this game immerses players in the world of high-stakes cybercrime. As a member of a notorious hacker crew, players plan and execute an elaborate heist targeting a major bank’s cyber currency wallet. Each heist, or level, takes careful planning, teamwork, and precision to execute. Any small error could be fatal for the mission leading to moments of excitement. In a high stakes environment, will players succumb under pressure or will they succeed with one of the most daring heists of the 21st century.
Concept 3: Escape the Matrix

You yourself are trapped inside your computer’s terminal. Stranded in a hostile digital environment, you must navigate through a treacherous virtual world to escape and discover the truth about this world. This game combines elements of survival horror with intense hacking challenges, as you scavenge for resources, avoid hostile digital entities, and solve puzzles to unlock the secrets of this world. Slowly, you will uncover the truth about this world and figure out a plan to escape, that is if you make it that far in the first place.
