P1: Playable Prototype Evaluation of Community Garden

Community Garden is a cooperative, multi-player board game where you work together to raise the most bountiful herb garden!

Observations and Suggested Changes:

  1. The players wanted a more structured goal to work towards together -> potentially implement a deck of “goal cards,” players can pick two and choose which one through game play they want to fulfill
  2. The players took ownership of their first herbs and were really appreciative and kind to each other when they “took care” of “their” herbs.
  3. Want for a “villain” – implement something like Browser Time from that introduces a new wacky obstacle.
  4. could also implement a “weed” feature
  5. more negative events to occur
  6. need to pinpoint when people get new actions and/or herbs because they felt no constraint or scarcity for any of the items
  7. potentially adjusting getting action/resources through a die instead of pulling resources?
