P1: Tiny playable prototype

Observations During Game

  • Players mentioned that for the career cards, it would be nice to have an indicator of whether or not you have a job 
  • When players land on a pink square, they want clear rules on when to roll the 6 face die vs the 20 face die
  • Potentially consider introducing debt to the game (what if you lose money and you have 0 money)?
  • Add more spending to the game (they liked the card that said “give up 100 dollars to head to next Visa checkpoint)
  • Add an instruction card that shows all the visa options 
  • Visually wise could be cool to have discard piles / card piles on the board 
  • There’s a card that says you’re laid off and lost $200, we need to clarify what happens if there’s no job. 
  • Maybe take out the “Skip to green card square”, or have it at least only apply to those with Visas


Overall Feedback

  • Players have no agency, very few choices to make
  • Consider introducing the concept of paying to do something, since that’s an action
  • Deciding whether or not to roll could be a strategy (introduce consequence to rolling)
  • Build towards more things with money besides Visas (ex. every turn you might make money 
  • To emphasize the challenge, consider assigning roles to players
