Team Norms: Team 2

  • Communication: Keep each other updated regularly so everyone is aware of ongoing tasks and individual progress.
  • Evaluation: Provide direct and constructive feedback to help the team assess current progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Persuasion and Discussion: When making decisions or proposing ideas, consider both the underlying principles (why we’re doing this) and the technical requirements (how it can be implemented). Discussions should balance values and feasibility.
  • Leadership and Decision-Making: Tasks should be clearly divided, with each member taking ownership and a leadership role for their part. While all members are encouraged to contribute ideas, final decisions in case of disagreement should defer to the responsible lead, with an emphasis on consensus where possible.
  • Trust and Accountability: Our trust is task-based—everyone is expected to follow through on responsibilities. We will set clear milestones and timelines, and maintain transparency through regular updates and discussions.
  • Disagreeing: A more confrontational style to create a space where people feel free to send anything and give feedback.
  • Scheduling: Have a fixed milestone schedule to have an in-person meeting, and we could have more flexibility to have the Zoom call as well to check
  • Planning Ahead: Start early to allow more flexibility in managing tasks and addressing unexpected challenges.
  • Brainstorming and Execution: Encourage creativity and diverse ideas during the early brainstorming phase. However, once the team aligns on a direction, avoid diverging too much to maintain focus and clarity. Build the project in a way that is both enjoyable and meaningful for everyone, while keeping implementation feasibility in mind.
