Hey everyone, I’m Whayden! I’m from the Los Angeles area, and I’m a CS coterm student on the HCI track. My pronouns are he/him, and I look forward to meeting everyone and playing some GAMES!
I love a lot of games, so it’s hard to choose just one, but I’d say I typically play console and PC games in a variety of genres. Some of my favorite games of all time would have to be God of War (first Nordic one), NBA 2k, Black Myth: Wukong, It Takes Two, Minecraft, and I can’t forget Fortnite (classic). I tend to enjoy games that either have a fun multiplayer element or have a strong and enjoyable single-player narrative with fun game mechanics (Spiderman, RDR2, etc.). As for my favorite board game, it’s got to be Sorry! Despite it being pretty simple, I’ve got some good memories playing it with my friends and found some fun ways to incorporate extra “stipulations.”
All that yap aside, a recent game I’ve been playing and enjoying is Assassins Creed: Shadows. I know it’s another Ubisoft game, but the parkour and gameplay are fun, the Feudal Japan environment is great, and it’s been a while since I’ve played an AC game. I’m also looking forward to playing Schedule 1 on PC, for reasons I will leave out for now, but it looks really fun. Looking forward to an amazing quarter!
