P2: Map, premise, project plan

  1. Premise: In the dystopian year 2050, relentless global warming accelerates the melting of the Arctic ice, releasing Hiberniavirus, an ancient and deadly pathogen that triggers a global plague. Miraculously, only women survive the outbreak, possessing inherent antibodies that render them immune but also grant them uncontrollable superpowers. Echo, a resilient and enigmatic survivor, embarks on a mysterious quest to uncover the origins of Hiberniavirus and harness her newfound abilities. Along her journey, she discovers that a malevolent force seeks to manipulate the virus to engineer a new human species, threatening the very essence of humanity. Echo must navigate a desolate wasteland, forge alliances with other empowered women, and confront the evil power to ensure the survival and restoration of mankind.

  3. Plan:Oct 21: finalize the first draft (writing on Twine) using feedback from the class playtest

    Oct 24: start working with Unity Hub for a demo–at least basic scene setup

    Oct 28: start building the UI system

    Nov 1: final iteration for the twine and a small demo of Unity

  4. Challenge: the Unity part would be time-consuming, but it is just a small demo
