Sketchnote: Game Architecture

A game that I enjoy is Overcooked. Although there is a bit of a story arc, in there is an initial cutscene and cutscenes between worlds to describe what is happening (where the king is asking players to hold off the “Un-bread”), this game mostly consists of loops. Players learn how to cook in the given environment, and levels slowly teach players different skills such as chopping ingredients and assembling sushi. As the levels progress, the difficulty gets harder, so players must get better at their cooking skills they are developing, and combine them to achieve these cooking tasks.
