A game I enjoy daily is NYT Connections, where players are presented with a series of words or phrases, and the goal is to find connections between them. There is only one correct solution, so there is an arc to getting to that solution. However, it also includes loops, as the player users prior knowledge of the words and their meanings to make decisions of what group of 4 words to submit. They then receive feedback (either their submitted set is correct, incorrect, or one away), and use this to update mental models and try again.
