Possible Game Directions
- Tomorrow your two best friends are getting married to each other. The ceremony is being held on a beautiful island off the coast of Rhode Island, and you were given the honor of officiating. You got ordained online just for the occasion and are excited to be such an important figure in the big day. But the night before the ceremony, your friend rushes into your room and tells you the ring has been stolen! As the marriage officiant, the couple tasks you with uncovering who stole the ring. In order to do this, you must walk around the island uncovering clues about the ring’s whereabouts. This game creates fun through narrative, challenge, and fantasy.
- You are a dog and tomorrow your owner and best friend, Ben, is getting married. Although Ben is excited for the big day, you are not. You HATE Ben’s fiance. They are demeaning to you, don’t take you outside when you need to pee, and own TWO cats. You refuse to move in with two cats. In order to prevent the wedding from happening, you make a plan to steal the ring. However, this will be a difficult task. You must complete challenges in navigating through your house without being seen by your owner and his fiance, retrieving the ring, and discarding of it somewhere where your owner will never find it. Will you succeed? This game creates fun mainly through challenge and narrative.
- When your Uncle Ben dies, you are tasked with cleaning out his quaint island home. Ben has always kept to himself and, for as long as you’ve been alive, has been alone. While cleaning out his attic, you find an old box of what looks like newspaper clippings and papers relating to some big wedding that happened 50 years ago. And at the bottom of the box, you find a beautiful antique wedding ring! Did Uncle Ben steal the ring?? Was it his long lost lover’s? Using the contents of the box, you must uncover the story behind the ring and return in the its rightful owner. This game creates fun through narrative and challenge.
