My favorite game of all time is Stardew Valley 
It is also the most recent game I enjoy as I spent almost all my spare time on it from the winter break when I first downloaded it and also spent half of my spring break exploring the newest version 1.6 
. I think the largest reason is that I like the genre and setting of it, and of course, everything involved, from farming 
to beating monsters when going down the caves 
. I also feel like the game is an escape from reality where there is too much stress 
Even more luckily, I am really into the 2D art style and the flexibility of the game. Lots of customizations are available, from what to do every day to how your character looks. It also gives me a huge sense of achievement when I reach 100% completion, and fulfill my interest in having everything planned and completed on time 
If I have to pick another recent game I enjoy, it would be overcooked! 2 (and I like to play it through Steam compared to Switch as Switch Joy-Con seems too sensitive for me). I spent another half of my spring break with my friend on overcooked 2 lol. For me, it would be a perfect game to play with friends even if I mess up every dish and get negative scores. I like this game as it is more about fun and laughing compared to finding the strategy to get all starts (though I did get 3 stars for every level and all DLC last winter break except Night of the Hangry Horde, which is tooooo hard. <- see that I do like this game a lot!). After all, when you mess up everything, you have fun and can laugh at each other, or when you get a good score, you can be proud of yourselves, meaning that you will always have fun in this game!
